By some miracle, Major League Baseball did not go on strike as scheduled, and so I saw my 2nd ever baseball game. You see, back around Father's day, Carrie and I had each got our respective fathers a ticket to a Mariner's game. The only day we could all four of us do it together and get seats together was Sunday, Sept 1st. Well, the players threatened to strike on the Friday before that, so I thought there was no way in Hell we would get to go to the game.

But, lo, they stayed on, and we went to the game. I am not a sports fan AT ALL. I'm a sports entertainment fan, but not real sports. But this was actually a lot of fun, probably becasue it was like the most action-packed baseball game ever! Six runs in the first inning! Double plays left and right! It kind of petered out in the last half, but it was not bad all around. After the game we walked across the street from SafeCo Field into the Pyramid Ale brewery restaurant and were seated IMMEDIATELY, which made me want to FLIP OUT and cut people's heads off it was so cool; and by cool I mean sweet.

They had at the Pyramid place an appetizer called the cheese platter, which of course I got. It had brie and goat cheese and caramelized apples and sugar-coated grapes. I loved it using my body.

I got a tiny little cold for like a day and a half. It was so wimpy and weak that I was too disgusted to even look it in the face. It made me ashamed on behalf of colds everywhere. What a disgrace. To make up for it, my belly has been acting up quite a lot, so that's not quite a good thing.

Carrie, Melissa, and I went to the Puyallup fair, and brought along Carrie's bosses' kids, ages 9, 6, and 6 (fraternal twins). Thee other friends of mine were also coming, and let me tell you something. The Puyallup fair works best with a small (even) number of people, like four. Four is the best. All added up, there were nine of us there. So we ended up splitting up into smaller groups a whole lot just for the logistics. But still it was a lot of fun, and I only ended up spending like maybe 20-25 bucks, which is a miracle at the Puyallup fair. I didn't end up riding the Enterprise, but I did go on Ghost Pirates, which is the absolute worst... ride... ever. I love it to death. X-Entertainment even did an article that talks about it, but good luck finding it.

One of my good friends went off to college (she's several years younger than I am) in Pullman, which kind of sucks because it's a four-hour drive and I won't get to see her every week like usual.

I've been working at Microsoft. I'm out of the apartment for like 12-13 hours a day (including travel time), but I'm making well over $200 a day for brain-dead work, so believe me I ain't complaining too much. They keep on changing the dates around and stuff, though.

The Puget Sound Bead Festival happened on the 25th (Sunday), and I worked it. Q13 News even did a story about it and filmed some stuff in the store. It aired at like 7:50 in the morning so I didn't watch it. Not because it was too early, but because I was already on the road to Microsoft.

Anyway, it was a good thing because a good friend of ours came up from California to work the show and see us all, and it was great to see her again. Plus, I made a couple of bucks, so I ain't complaining about that at all (and I may be designing the website of one of the vendors who was there; we'll see).

Because of Microsoft shifting its dates around, I actually got a couple of days off, which I used to completley clean the kitchen. As I write this, there are NO dirty dishes anywhere within this apartment! Victory!!!

Then, to top of a good time, my friend Brandy from WSU made a suprise appearance at Fools Play! I wasn't expecting to see her there, so it was totally sweet. It made me want to FLIP OUT and cut people's heads off ALL THE TIME! In order to thank her for all she's done for Fools Play over the last couple years, we presented her with a DVD player and five DVDs, one chosen by each Fool (I gave her Iron Giant). So in all it was a good time for everyone involved.
