In two days I was given as much work as I am normally given in five or six days, so I was crazy-busy for a while. It finally quieted down some. Now I have time to work on my articles and movie reviews more. I might actually catch up soon.

I've started working on a new project: the redesign of the bead factory website. You can see the old website here (unless by the time you read this my redesign has gone live), so you can see why they wanted it redesigned. It's a lot of fun, and I'm actually going to get paid for it! Yee-haw!

Carrie went away to Detroit for the weekend, presiding over a bead show there all by herself! She only got like one hour of sleep on Saturday night (on a plane no less), and so came home sunday night feeling like she was beat up and probably sick. Thankfully she had Monday off.

Over the weekend my brother brought over the new Chubby Mummy tape, which I dumped onto my computer. As soon as we get a few "secret" tracks, we'll have the new Chubby Mummy album done, entitled Jigfest: a Tale of Laughs Long Gone and Dead. This is very exciting.

The Bead Factory celebrated its 10th anniversary. I get to pour hooch for the assembled masses at their anniversary party. I like to say I'm an unlicensed bartender, but really since it's a private function and they're not charging for the hooch, there's nothing illegal about it.

We did FPRL again recently, and a couple of members of the Tokens were in the audience, which was cool to see them again. One of them said that I was the funniest person ever, and really, who am I to argue?

Neighbor Gary got his hands on a tape of Japanese wrestling, more specifically the classic "King of the Deathmatch" tournament in which both Terry Funk and Mick Foley (as Cactus Jack) competed. Looking forward to watching that.

For some reason I wasn't updating this as I went along, so here it is almost midnight on the last day of September and I have to think back about all the things that happened over the last two weeks. Why? Because I'm an idiot, of course. No, scratch that. An ass-idiot.

Carrie went to Costco as she normally does. She came home and informed me that it was a little bit more expensive that usual, like about 40 bucks more. She then informed me that it was becuase she had bought me something, and pulled out Super Mario Sunshine for the GameCube. Best. Girlfriend. Ever.

It was my sister Susan's 21st birthday. Carrie and I went to Cost Plus World market and loaded up with all kinds of crazy crap that Susan will need in her new apartment. As usual, it was an insanely hilarious familiy affair.

I went to the gut doctor to have my gut medicine switched around, and then I went back to get a bone density scan to see if the medicine has given me osteoperosis yet. Since osteoperosis mainly affects women, I had to go to the "Women's Health Center" at the hospital to get it done, which I thought was very funny. I learned, though that I actually gained some 15 pounds over the course of the last year! Fantastic! Now I actually weigh a real amount, not some joke amount. Of course, it's all on my belly. I should do something about that before I can't fit in my pants no mo'.

We're gearing up towards Halloween now, which is one of my favorite holidays to decorate for. I've already started putting up stuff. Carrie went over to the kids' house and made frosted sugar cookies with them, and then came back with like 40 of them. I swear I've eaten like six a day since then. Diabetes, anyone?

I actually read a 400-page novel in one day (instead of doing work I was supposed to be doing, of course). It was one of those crappy Timothy Zahn Star Wars books. I think Episode 7. Yeah, Heir to the Empire. Pretty crappy book, but I'm proud of myself. I hadn't read a novel that big in one day for a long time. A couple years.

Other than that, it's pretty much just status-quo. I actually am trying to write more than one article a month, people! Honest! I'm just not sure what happened to my time management skills. Oh, right, Super Mario Sunshine.
