I swear I did not make this up, but it's the best news story I've ever seen.
On Oscar Sunday I went to Sarah's annual Oscar Party. Last year if you'll remember I got first place in the Oscar pool and took home about $75 dollars. This year? $10. Not quite as good. I got second place, but I think it was mostly because last year I won by such a huge margin that she had to change it to a point system. Instead of one category equals one point, the more imporant categories were worth more points. I didn't get very many of the important categories right, but I cleaned house on all the lower-point questions, so I might have wone if it weren't for the point system. Oh, and Carrie got 3rd place for $6 dollars even though she was in Detroit at the time presiding over a bead show there.
I wrote an Article about if I chose the Oscars, but in all fairness there were three movies last year that I wanted to see but never got the chance:
So if I had seen those, they might have also made my cut. But it's too late now, baby!
Natalie Cruz came up from California to teach a couple of classes at the Bead Factory. Okay, all right, so she came up to spend the week with Neighbor Gary.
I got The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker, and of course it kicks ass. But I expected as much. I'm not in the least bit disappointed. High-quality pookynoodle, that is. Unfortunately it makes it hard for me to do anything else, like work or fiddle around with this here website.
I actually went to WrestleMania on the 30th. It was pretty darned spectacular. The seats were good, but I would have actually liked to have been up just a little bit higher so the people on the floor with their signs wouldn't get in the way quite as much. I'm planning on writing a big-ass Article on my experience there. Well, assuming I'm not too busy playing The Wind Waker.
Here's the most convoluted sentance I've ever heard anybody say (pretend I just asked the guy if anyone was hurt):
A: And, um, her, um, back, you know, was, you know, it's like, you know, she had, um, like a, you know, a backache and, um
|
That's a pretty incompetent way to say "She had a backache."
