Going postal

After Carrie left for Chicago yesterday (Saturday), I was a man on a mission. A mission doomed to fail.

I received a not in my mailbox on Friday telling me that I had a package waiting down at the Martin Luther King Jr. Street Post Office (on a side note, why is it that in almost every city I've been to the Martin Luther King Jr. Street is in the worst part of town?). Simultaneously, Carrie needed me to drop off a package of Amy's wedding jewelry at the Post Office. Hey, two birds with one stone, right?

Not quite. I drove down MLK Jr. St. and kept on driving around the blocks until I finally located the Post Office, which was just basically in a tiny storefront space without hardly any signage. Upon going inside I discover that this particular Post Office is closed on Saturday. What a day. Groovin' wit choo. I then had to drive all the way back down to Proctor because for some reason that's the only Post Office that is open on Saturday. Car-razy. So I mailed off Amy's package but failed to grab my own.

Fools Play was the Meter format. It's nice to know that Carrie & my efforts in making that thing didn't go to waste.
