Magnificent splendor

Yesterday (Thursday) morning my mom, dad, and grandma came over to the apartment to pick up the "dining room" table on account of we're gonna be getting a REAL dining room table (and chairs) from Carrie's folks, so we don't need the old and busted.

First, though, we all piled in the van and I pointed them to the new Bead Factory location, and then drove them by the new house, and they were appropriately appreciative of its magnificent splendor. Then we went and had an early lunch at the Hob Nob. I had chicken & chips (chicken strips instead of fish strips), but I didn't eat it all on account of just a couple hours earlier I had made myself a four-egg scramble for breakfast (with mushrooms and two types of cheese!).

Then when we got back to the apartment I went upstairs first because I take stairs two at a time otherwise I get bored with how long it takes. I come in the front door and Fantastico starts rolling around and bein' all happy. Then she hears the rest of my family coming up the hall and suddenly looks real scared and scuttles away into the kitchen. But as soon as they got inside she came strutting back out with her head and tail held high, and was rubbing up against them and rolling around, showing off and everything.

Anyway, my dad and I fineagled the table into the back of the van (legs first) and then they all went back to Federal Way.

Later on in the afternoon (around 4:00), Brandy took her lunch break by coming over and partaking of some yummy cheese and crackers. So I got to hang out with her for a half hour or so. Neat!

Carrie went shopping after she got off work and bought a new skirt (which I haven't seen yet 'cuase she's still asleep in bed as I write this), then went to hang out with Cat. Neighbor Gary and I, however, drove up to Seattle and met up with Mike Tanner the Green Fool to see Bubba Ho-Tep. Tannerman had told us the wrong time, though (he said 9:00 when it was really 9:30), so we were there WAY early. So we walked up University Bvd to a record store 'cause Gary is a big music guy. Then we got back and stepped into the front of the ticketholders' line to wait for the film. Tannerman showed up a little bit later, and soon we were all strapped into our seats for an exciting ride down Bubba Ho-Tep lane!

It was a good little flick. I'll post a review of it here sometime soon. Um, probably today or tomorrow, actually. When I got home after midnight Carrie was already asleep (and very cute).

The end. A frog eats insects. A frog eats bugs.
