Work-at-home Day

Yesterday (Friday), Carrie worked from home like I usually do! Around 10:45 as I was making an eight-egg breakfast scramble (to be shared equally between us) I went into the office and said, "Hey, it's almost 11:00 and you're still in pajamas. Isn't working at home nice?"

The reason she was working at home was that she was making mix CDs for the store so that people don't go crazy listening to the same background music all the time. So she was actually on this computer all day, which left me time to get on one of the laptops (Raichu this time) and do about ten pages on my revision of Resolving Equations. I put on some headphones and stuck Tangent's Cyclops' Lament in Raichu's CD drive and pissa! I'm getting back in the writing groove! That kicks so much arse.

For dinner we went to the Rosewood Cafe with Carrie's folks, and wouldn't you know it, but Melissa, Chritine (whom I haven't seen in a really long time for some reason), and Travis showed up when we were about halfway through.

Then in the evening I took Carrie out on a date to see Lost in Translation at The Grand Cinema just down the road. Holy crap that's a good movie. I gotta get a couple more reviews done before I get to it, but I'll let you know when I've reviewed it.

Then it was home to bed where we played computer solitaire against each other. How does that work? Well, Carrie had Raichu and I had the new computer, and we each were playing computer solitaire on our own. But after every hand we would call out how much money we had made (or it would be more accurate to say lost). Carrie actually won a few hands, so she was pretty much ahead of me, although I always came really close to winning so I was never that far down.
