Lights !

I didn't have any tapes yesterday (Monday), so instead I spent the day cleaning: moving empty boxes to the garage, doing dishes, that kind of things. Oh, I also swung by Goodwill on the way home from dropping off/picking up tapes (which I did at the same time—I arrived just when the courier was there) and dropped off a couple boxes of stuff. Maybe next time we drop off stuff there we should get a receipt so I can claim it on my taxes. Any little bit helps. I also swung by Fred Meyer and made a key to the Ford. And get this: it actually works! Now I finally (after three years) have my own key to the Ford.

Carrie had a split shift 'cause she was teaching Beaded Gifts in the evening, and she needed me to re-do her handout some. I'm making more money doing handouts this month than anything else.

Fajitas for dinner. At least they were supposed to be fajitas, but the tortillas we bought at Trader Joe's turned out not to be so much like several tortillas as one giant, thick tortilla that we couldn't separate into individual regular tortillas. They wuz all stuck together.

I completely cleaned out the dining room. There is not a single box in it. I also finished up washing all the dishes, so we're pretty much cleaned up in two out of six rooms. Doesn't sound so good when I put it like that.

Last night Carrie & I both had trouble sleeping. We just weren't terribly sleepy. We were tired but not sleepy. You know what I mean. After we finally managed to get to sleep, she woke up suddenly at like around 2:00 because she sensed that the TV was no longer on. Why not? Power outage, baby! We investigated and discovered that the entire house was out, so it wasn't likely just a fuse. It was crazy windy, so we figured that that might have something to do with it. Upon further investigation we discovered that our house was the only one on the block (or any nearby blocks) that had lost power, so that was just confusing. Carrie had a lot of trouble falling back asleep after that (Me? Not so much), but the power eventually came back on of its own accord and then she was able to sleep some more. So she didn't have a very good night, sleep-wise.

The phone rang around 7:00 this morning. The carpet people are gwine t'come over and finish doing their job. They're coming between 9:30 and 10:00. That's in about 15 minutes. A'ight. Peace ou-iiiiii.
