It was the num-nummos

Yesterday (Sunday) was, of course, Easter. I was having a devil of a morning (these super meds could kick in at any time; I really wouldn't mind). I had hoped to get work done, but instead I just lounged around in pain. Funtimes! In the afternoon I drove Carrie over to her folks' and then proceeded to mine own folks', where Susan and Mike and Rachel and Ma and Pa were already there. I brought over a couple of GameCube controllers and my memory card so as we could all play Mario Kart together. And we did. But not before dying eggs! Each of us four kids dyed three eggs, except Mike & I each dyed an egg for Rachel that said something vaguely offensive on it.

Then it was time for the Mario Kart. We played the three of us on versus mode, selecting random tracks. Mike has this habit of doing really well up until the last four or five seconds of a race, at which time he gets hit with a blue shell or something like that and ends up losing. It happened a lot.

Dinner was two types of lasagna, white with mushums and red with turkey sausage. Both was the num-nummos. After dinner Mike & I played Mario Kart on cooperative mode, which neither of us had done very much of before. It's actually really fun, and we discovered that there are several awesome turns you can cut that you could never cut if you were playing one player. I was usually the driver and Mike was usually the gunner (if I had an item I'd just pass it back to him; it was funny to see Birdo juggling three red shells).

Carrie's dad brought her home (with a brand new barbeque grill!!!!) so I didn't have to swing by there on my way back at 8:00 at night. I just headed straight home to her. Home movies wasn't on at its usual time, which sucked der ass.
