A photograph of taxes

Yesterday (Monday) I did taxes. All the live-long day, practically. I was using TurboTax, which I don't like very much because it doesn't really let you go in and change little things. You kind of have to go through the entire interview process until you can change one line, and it doesn't tell you exactly which line you're changing ever. Annoying! I didn't even quite finish them, but it looks like Carrie will get almost $1,000 back, which is good because I might have to pay around $200.

Carrie got a $50 refund check from the power company, so I went to the bank in the afternoon and deposited it for her. Then I came home and pulled the exact same thing that Carrie did on Sunday: I fell asleep, thinking I would only be taking a short nap, only to awaken when Carrie got home at 5:00.

Her folks came over around 5:30 and we all walked up the road to the house of the lovely people of Wallflower Photography. I really liked them a lot, and I kinda just wanted to hang out with the guy. He seemed really cool. He and I talked geek speak a little bit. Plus he had a giant plasma TV. And awesome cats, one of which thought my right arm tasted incredible. Anyway, as I was saying, I really would love for them to do our wedding, but Carrie is worried about the cost (around $2,000).

Their place was like a block from Enginehouse #9, so we had dinner there. I had a triple-decker club. Let me tell you, eating out with Carrie's mom is a lot like eating out with my grandma. Neither one of them can just order something. They have to put their fingers in the pot or they can't be satisfied.

Then, beleive it or not, Carrie had to actually go back to work! That totally sucked. Gary came over for Rasslin', which was a good episode thanks in most part to Mick Foley, and the fact that HHH jobbed to Orlando Jordan for the second week in a row. Carrie said she might hang out with Viki after work, and so as 10:00 was rolling around I figured, "Oh, she must be out with Viki now." Well, when Carrie got home a few minutes later she explained that, no, she wasn't hanging out; she had been working the whole time. Yikes!
