The -slash- party

Friday Mary showed me pictures of her Africa trip on her gigantic and awe-inspiring laptop that makes me unbelievably jealous. It was fun. At 6:00 we met with our would-be caterer to hash out some of the details of what we would need for the wedding. The guy was nice and all but he would not stop talking, and he would say the same thing over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over no matter how many times we said we had decided on things. By the end Carrie was getting really cranky.

Gary came over shortly thereafter and we drove up to Espinoza for the last-ever Espinoza -slash- Mike T's birthday -slash- Mike T's Farewell party. It was a goodly deal of fun, even though Sandy got hard drunk and dropped out of the party rather quickly. I had to go to the bathroom towards the end and then couldn't make it up the stairs, so I laid down on Geoff's bed for like a half hour or so while Brandy took care of me, bless her.

Anyway, I was finally able to get up with her help and I crawled up the stairs. I obviously wasn't feeling up to driving home, so Gary did the honors. There was lots of construction so it took freakin' forever to get back to I-5 the way we went. We ended up going from Ballard all the way down to SafeCo before we could get back on. We saw fun things like a cop pulling his gun on three pedestrians and making them lie face down on the sidewalk while we were waiting for a red light.

We went to Gary's place and I let him out, and then I continued driving my car home to my place (where Gary's car still was), where I ended up getting back only a few minutes after Cary & Mary got home from hanging out at Carrie Clausen's place. So we all had a fun night out. Mine was just a bit more painful than theirs (probably).
