When I got home I worked on BF stuff straight until noon, then I got so freakin' sleepy you would not believe it, so I napped until around 2:15 or so.
When I woke up there was a package from Amazon. It was what I had spent some of my birthday money on! Hooray! In the package was:
- The Rundown
- The Transformers - First Season Collector's Edition
- Daft Punk & Leiji Matsumoto's Interstella 5555: The 5tory of the 5ecret 5tar 5ystem DVD
- I, Robot : The Illustrated Screenplay, which is NOT the screenplay for the actual I, Robot movie that's coming out this summer. This one was written in '77 by Harlan Ellison and never actually made into a movie. It's actually also based on the actual book.
So I put on Intastella 5555 and started to clean the house for Carrie's return. Dishes, laundry, vaccuuming, putting stuff away, putting boxes in the bedroom in the garage. All that kind of thing. I made myself a couple of hamburgers for dinner and put on some Transformers. Man-o-man it's a crazy thing to watch that show again with adult eyes and see just how much we filled in when we were kids.
Anyway, I cleaned some more and then Viki called and asked if I could pick the girls up from her house after she got them from the airport. I said sure. She said just to show up at 8:00 and then changed her mind and said, "No, why don't I just call you when we leave the airport?"
"Sure," I said, "that sounds good."
Well, she completely forgot to call me when she left the airport, and so I got a call on my cell phone from Carrie of the "Where are you?" variety. I told her that Viki said she was going to call when they left the airport, and Carrie repeated that to Viki, and I heard Viki in the background saying, "Oh, that's right, I did say that." Very funny.
Anyway, I drove up there and picked up Carrie & Brandy, and dropped Brandy off at her apartment before coming home with Carrie. Hooray!
