New shoes... ptui !

Yesterday (Tuesday) Carrie had an absolute devil of a time getting out of bed. So much so that I had to actually drive her to work. After work I stopped by Chez Target and spent some of my birthday money. I bought a new black shirt and these really cool flat-panel Hello Kitty speakers for my computer. They're not as high quality sounding as the last speakers I had, but who cares? They're so freakin' cute!

I then stopped by Fred Meyer and bought new shoes! Ptui! Actually they're old shoes; they're retro black Converse high tops. Not the canvas kind.

I was going to shop for some foodstuffs, but I realized that there were several and various coupons at home, so I should do the actual shopping later. After that it was home, where I worked on ANGRY BEEF stuff. Not on new sightings, just on the advertising stuff. Jeez, I don't know why I can't get back into the swing of sightings.

Then the phone started happening. First Melissa called and said Brandy was teaching her first class that evening, and needed some revisions to her handout. So the Brandy called and asked if she could bring it by the house around 1:45? Sure, I says. Then Carrie calls and asks if I can call Rosewood and order some foods, then go pick it up and then pick her up from the store and bring her back home to eat the foods. Sure, I says. Little did I know that Carrie wouldn't be quite ready to go when I showed up at the BF with the food. Many minutes passed by. So I was stuck there while Brandy stopped by the house and called my cell phone to ask, "Where are you?" She had to come to the store to give me the handout there, right as Carrie & I were leaving for home. Oops!

Carrie was completely stressed out due to having to get everything ready for the Bead & Button show. It took her a while to unwind out of it. She worked on my back and watched Guiding Light, both of which helped quite a bit. I did the changes to the handout while she took a little nap. She had to go back to work at 5:00, and asked, "Do you want to come with me?"

"Sure!" I says.

First, though, she called the bank, and we decided that I should take $100 of my birthday money out for her to have at the show. So I drove her to the store, went and got half a tank of gas (sexpensive gas), and went to the ATM at Fred Meyer. 2nd time there in one day, baby! I went back to the store and helped Carrie load trunks into Viki's car.

Then it was home for the evening. Carrie gave me changes to make to the handouts for the classes she's teaching in Milwaukee. We ordered a couple pizzas. At one point we tried to watch The Straight Story, but Carrie was busy beading and I wasn't concentrating very well. Plus Geoff stopped by for a bit. I gave him the prologue to Static. I hope this keeps me motivated to write it. Like a few pages every weekend for him to read. That would kick ass.

Then all of a sudden around 10:00 at night I got the worst headache. It felt like someone was trying to push my eyes out of my head from the inside. I took some Tylenol, and Carrie & I decided to go to bed to get some sleep before we had to wake up... at 2:30 in the morning!

So we woke, and I finished up the handouts while Carrie got ready. Then we went and picked up Brandy at her apartment and drove to Mark & Viki's, arriving around 4:10 in the morning. I won't see Carrie until Monday. That suxors! And now here it is, 5:00 a.m. and I'm at home writing for my website. I think I've decided just to stay up and sleep later in the day when I get sleepy. I'm having lunch with my dad and I think I might call Mary or Taisha (and Gary to see how his neck is doing).
