Yesterday (Sunday) I woke up around 8:00 and wrote for this blog and worked on ANGRY BEEF some more. My dad came by again around 10:30 and we went to work in the backyard. It was super sunny; I might have even gotten a little bit of color. Well, okay, probably not. For lunch we ordered a pizza from Papa John's and it came with a free DVD. I am now the incredibly proud owner of Weekend at Bernie's on DVD. So proud.
We left the backdoor open and Fantastico would keep on venturing out to explore, and then running back inside whenever either one of us made a big motion or walked towards her. At one point I couldn't find her, but I thought I faintly heard her meowing. After searching the house I discovered that she had somehow gotten under the porch and was cowering in a corner. Eventually she came out on her own and went in the house. I closed the backdoor after that. Dad stayed and we worked on the backyard until almost 3:00.
I had to go to Bartell's and buy more pills (sexpensive pills, dammit). Carrie called and we actually got to talk for a while instead of her being so tired that she was practically asleep already. I have to go to the bank and put money in her account this morning first thing—remind me, okay?
I grabbed the two leftover slices of pizza and ate them in the car on the way to Fools Play practice. It actually was a really, really good practice. We worked on The Solvers. We trained Taisha in some suspension stuff. We completely re-thought the dumb "Love/Hate" technique and made it so that the illogical reactions aren't to the characters, they're to character traits. It made the scene absolutely fascinating. Still not ready for stage, but almost. Mike brought in a couple more really cool song formats.
I came home and worked even more on ANGRY BEEF. I have all the sightings ready to go for this week already; I just have to write the text blurbs for them. I also prepped my Weekly Update for the BF. Eventually I made chicken noodle soup, took my expensive pills, and went to bed on the couch whilst watching Adult Swim. I was having a good time watching Sealab 2021 and the reinstated Brak Show, but then Baby Blues came on. What the f**k is that show doing on Adult Swim? I suxors! So I put on Disk 2 of the Samurai Jack - Season 1 and fell asleep probably around 2:00 a.m.
