Ghetto car

Yesterday (Wednesday) Carrie needed the Toyota, so I drove Geoff & myself up to my folks' place in the 1992 Ford Tempo, also known as the ghetto car. It behaved just fine the whole time.

I was so sleepy at work that I was delirious. Seriously! I was asleep while I was awake and typing. It was kinda freaky. The fact that I had some Krispy Kreme donuts probably didn't help much.

Geoff was picked up from work, so I had to solo drive the final leg from my brother's house back to Tacoma. Man, was that a bad idea. I kept on almost falling asleep at the wheel over and over again. When I finally made it home after about 35 minutes of unsafe driving, I simply walked into the house and fell down on the couch. Dead asleep. Carrie had to go back to work and also do some sorta setup for the PSBF, so I roused myself enough to do a couple loads of dishes and run some towels and blankets through the washer/dryer cycle.

TV Land was playing a "best of" marathon of Alf (the original series, not the Talk Show), which led me to wonder, "How many episodes long could it possibly be?" Carrie eventually got home and said that her PSBF setup consisted mostly of hanging out with Viki and some class instructors at a bar. Ah, well. There was slightly more cleaning done, and then our houseguest Natalie Cohen arrived. We had a dinner that consisted of a ton of munchy things (including brie with cherry/basalmic glaze, olives, and fried gnocci with a gorgonzola dipping sauce that was fan-freakin'-tastic) and then hung out for a while. While Carrie & Natalie ooh-ed and aah-ed over their various beads, I watched some of The World is Not Enough on Spike TV. Soon we were all going to the bed places.
