Yesterday (Friday) I did not take the train or bring anybody flowers.
Brandy had called during the day saying she wanted to stop by and talk to me about something. In fact she called again while Geoff & I were on the freeway to see where we were, and if we could call her when we got closer so she could meet us at the house. Sure thing. So I called when we got closer and there was no answer on either her cell phone or her apartment phone.
So Geoff & I got to the house and waited around for her to call. I played some Mega Man 8 on the Anniversary Collection so that Geoff could see it. Soon Brandy did call and soon came over as well. She wanted me to make some changes to her Art Deco Bracelet class handout and so came over to show me her revisions. While this was happening Geoff went out in the backyard with my beard-and-mustache trimmer and shaved down his head. He came back in covered in tiny pieces of hair—all over his body, his arms, his neck, and his entire face. Brandy refused to kiss him on account of his lips were all covered in shaving discards. I, however, had no such compunctions and laid a big smacker right on his lips. Brandy was unfortunately right; I ended up just getting hair all over my lips. Not pleasant!
Anyway, the two of them left soon thereafter. Carrie was covering a Leilani shift, which meant that she had to work from 2:00 to 10:00 or so. That kinda suxored. So she wasn't home when I got home. The place was a mess so I didn't feel like making any food. Instead I went to Panamonica's and had a Crazy Turkey sammitch.
Mary walked in while I was sitting at the bar. It seemed she was meeting her brother and sister-in-law there! They were in fact already there, sitting upstairs. We went up and joined them. They're really cool people. Her brother and I kept geeking out about Transformers and Hello Kitty. He said he was going to Japan and I asked if he was going to stop at the Hello Kitty theme park (he said he doubted it). He does web stuff like me. Mary had a feeling the two of us would get along.
After that pleasant time I drove straight to the store because I hadn't seen Carrie since 7:30 that morning when I'd left for work, and I was going through withdrawl. I couldn't wait any longer. So I hung out with her at the store until after it was techincally closed. Then I came home and did I remember not what.
Around the time that Carrie was supposed to call me to come pick her up from work, she called me to pick her up from work... and drive her to Panamonica's so she and Missa could have a secret meeting with Viki there. Okay. Then around 11:00 she called me to come pick up her and Missa. I drove Missa home, then drove me and Carrie back to the house for the night.
