Lovely Katie's Birthday

Yesterday (Friday) as I already mentioned, I was actually able to wake up and get outta bed a few minutes before 8:00, which is an amazing achievement. I went down to the BF to clean up the mess I left there the night before, then came home and picked up Carrie, dropped her off at the store, went to Starbucks and got her coffee and a scone, then took it to her. Three times to the BF in the span of minutes? Not bad.

Carrie worked straight from 9:00 to 5:00. She didn't come home for lunch. I did buckets of work as well, especially later in the afternoon. I stopped by Starbucks again on the way to pick up Carrie and got an "iced venti soy latte" per her request. Travis was there, but he wasn't working—he was picking out a birthday present for Katie. I walked up to him anyway and placed my order. Ain't I a stinker?

Anyhoo, I picked up Carrie and then we went to Target and TJ Maxx for some Early Christmas shopping. Early Christmas is tonight! Then it was time for Katie's birthday party. We were going to all meet at The Ram on the waterfront, but Katie & Steph got there first and they said it would be like an hour-and-a-half wait. Carrie & I drove on down to Katie Downs, but they said it would be an hour-and-a-half-to-two-hour wait. Screw dat! We all ended up going to Red Robin, where it was only about a 40-minute wait. Eine sehr angenehme Lage. It was fun to hang out with the lovely, lovely Katie—hadn't seen her since (very briefly) Halloween.

After dinner I took Carrie to Six Olives to have a drink with the people, then I rushed home and grabbed my stepladder and went to the BF to work more on the mural. I pretty much finished 1/4 of the sky! It's looking really, really good now. I be very happy with it.

I got home by midnight.
