Tomorrow (Tuesday) I go back to l'hopital to have my follow-up surgery. They'll push my intestines back inside my body and then sew up the hole. I'll be in hospital four or five days they say, until the bottom half of my small intestines gets used to having things pass through it again.
An expected side effect is the fact that I'll probably have to go poo about every half hour for the first several days. Not looking forward to that. The good part is that the poo will actually come out of my bottom instead of my belly.
For posterity's gross sake, I took a photo of my belly this morning, with poo bag attached and everything. If you for some reason want to look at it, click here.
I will understandably be away from my computer for the duration of my stay in hospital, so no more updates until I get back and I feel like updating (I'll be bringing home some pain medicine, so it might be a while before I feel like sitting down here again).
