Bye-Bye, Vox Populi

Yesterday (Saturday) Carrie was gone all day because of her Tidefest show. I dropped her off at Lisa's in the AM and then came back home and did a lot of laundry and dishes. And y'know what? It doesn't look like I did really anything at all. Car-razy.

Taisha didn't want to drive to Fools Play, so instead she drove to my house and I drove us both down.

Fools Play was "Advent Calendar." Rags and his 20s & 30s Tin-Pan Alley Style Band made an excellent appearance. Here's the opening song that Rags sang:

Babe, when I'm walking with you at Christmastime /
You make everything feel just fine /
That squid crawling down my leg /
Might as well be covered in elephant flesh /
When I'm with you at Christmastime!

The special guests were The Solvers and King Tut. Oh, wait. That's right. King Tut isn't here. He's an ancient mummified Egyptian. He would have no interest in appearing on a show like this.

My part in The Solvers is to provide the percussion, which I do by rhythmically clapping. Leah thinks this is the freakin' funniest thing in the world. I could hear her giggling and see her (out of the corner of my eye) pointing at me and whispering to Kedar.

Anyway, it was a really fun show. I did a lot of very strange characters, including someone who at one point said, "Oh, my god, I need emergency surgery!"

But the downside is I totally threw out my voice.
