How to Knock on My Door

I did not have well sleep last night. Besides having to get up to go to the bathroom twice, I kept having weird, stressful dreams. Including one where I peed on my pants. Also one where I was both in and watching Serenity, except at the end everybody dies and this version of the ship was drawn by someone who didn't really know the show very well (I know).

Anyway, yesterday (Tuesday) was Carrie's lazy day. She didn't go in to work until 5:30 in the evening, and she spent most of the earlier part of the day lounging in bed and/or playing Animal Crossing. It was good; she's been working really quite a lot recently (as is reflected in her larger-than-normal paychecks).

I also, have been working really quite a lot recently. Yesterday I did a lot of small this-and-that for the Bead Factory and some more for Accents by Joni. Leilani dropped of a class handout for me, but if she knocked she didn't knock very loud. Time for an interlude:
<Interlude>
For some reason when people come to our house, about 80% of them knock on the door so lightly that you can only hear it if you're within six feet of the door. If you're in another room (and I'm usually always in my office) then you can just forget about it. I really don't understand that. It's a big metal door. If you don't want to risk hurting your knuckles, then take a key and clang on it that way; that's what I do at the Bead Factory when I bring Carrie her coffee every morning. They have a glass door and I make a loud noise by striking it with the tip of my car key. They can hear that all the way to the other side of the store. So, people, if you wanna come to my house, knock loudly enough so that we can hear you all the way on the other side of the house. We won't mind!
</Interlude>

Anyway, after I took Carrie to her class I went home and reworked the networking between my two computers. There are a damned lot of wires underneath my desk, and they're going willy-nilly every which way.
