Passing Emissions

Yesterday (Tuesday) I made a big pile (okay, five strips) of pepper bacon for breakfast. The whole house smelled like bacon. Everything smells better as bacon. I spent most of the day working on some prototype websites for my new client. Not terribly inspired about it yet.

I picked Carrie up for her split-shift and we at some of the leftover pasta. Then a while later I drove up to Fife to have my car's emissions checked. Unlike last time, there were no crazy people telling me to do things that I'm not supposed to do. The guy who ran the test, though, was very new—I think it was his first day. But he did fine, and he had his supervisor walking him through everything. It took seriously about 45 seconds to run the test when it got around to it.

Carrie & I both took a nap in the afternoon. It was freakin' cold in the house. Then something strange happened. I took Carrie back to the store so she could teach her class, then I came home and never ate dinner. I never got hungry.

When I picked Carrie up after her class (and also Laura), she said, "I'm really hungry. Are you hungry?"

"No," I said.

And it was true. I think between 2:00 and midnight I ate a grand total of one banana and two tiny pieces of bread with parmesan cheese on them. Ve'y strange, no?
