What Will I Do Without the Fashion Show Handouts?

Yesterday (Monday) Carrie & I got up really freakin' early so Carrie could get to the store by 7:30 in order to proofread those Fashion Show handouts. By the time 10:00 had rolled around I had already worked a couple of hours, whereas I usually start work around 10:00 (or so).

In the apréz-noon Carrie called and said she wouldn't be coming home for lunch, so I made a cheese enchilada for myself. Today was part 2 of the 50th anniversary of As the World Turns. Ain't that crazy? Still not as crazy as Guiding Light, which has been continuously airing since before televisions existed. .

Umm... yeah. After I picked up Carrie from work (in the early afternoon) I went to the Fred Meyer bonk and deposited a whole bunch of checks for her and put a whole bunch of her cash in my account. Then as 5:00 was rolling around we went to Metropolitan Market because Carrie was craving a salad and wanted to get the ingredients (spinach, cranberries, feta cheese, etc.) there. I picked up some potato -leek soup for myself, and ate it at home while watching Comedy Central's airings of those old Tenacious D HBO shows. Not having HBO, I'd never seen them before. It was funny how they had to bleep practically every other word on some of them. I only caught five episodes, but liked what I sawr. Were there more than six?

In the evening I did three gigantor loads of dishes and watched Amelie (Audrey Tatou is so cute) and some rasslin'.

Carrie made a surprise sudden decision to make some bread pudding in the evening. Surprise! I thought it was very good (even if some did accidentally fall on the floor of the oven and make enough smoke to set off the smoke alarms), especially considering she'd never made it before. She said next time she'd leave out the pecans. She'd better leave the cranberries in, though!

The weather here is definitely starting to change for the better. It's warm enough so that in the afternoon I don't have to put on a coat just to walk to the garbage cans outside. In fact, if I'm wearing a long-sleeved shirt I can go outside without a coat at all! Things are just on the verge of blooming. I'll take some photos and post them when it become a little bit more interesting.
