One of Five

Yesterday (Tuesday) I got off my bum and wrote one of those Movie Reviews that I've been threatening to write for the past few weeks! I rawk! Only four more to go...

Read it here:

X-Men: The Last Stand

What else did I do? Let's see if'n I kin umember. I picked up Carrie for her split-shift and after lunch she took a nap. I walked around Linnea & Christine's neighborhood, but nobody seemed to be home at either place. When I came home I watched the final episode of Veronica Mars - Season 1. Now I know all the answers... for the most part. There was one unanswered question (other than the cliffhanger stuff) that I don't think they ever answered.

In the later afternoon Carrie & I gratefully went to Trader Joe's. Now the house actually has food in it! Whoa! On our way home we drove by the Tarbets' house. The front door was opened, so I cautiously approached and said, "Knock knock!" out loud. There wasn't an answer for a little bit, but then I heard Linnea upstairs.

"Jay?" she said.

"No, it's Chris. I left my sunglasses here on Sunday"

"Yeah, they're right there on the mantle."

I saw them. "Ah, I see them."

"I'd come down and say hi," she said, "but I'm mostly naked right now."

That seemed fair enough.

In the evening, after taking Carrie back to teach her class, I ran a load of dishes and had some of that The Last Samurai movie on in the background. I actually liked what I saw, although it made it even more abundantly clear that Tom Cruise can only play one character. It also made me wanna look up the information about the real events on which the movie is (very) loosely based. So I did.

I picked up Carrie and Laura and drove Laura to her house. When Carrie & I got back home the movie was just ending... or so I thought. Damn, but the ending(s) of that movie go on and on and on, don't they?
