I forgot to mention this yesterday, but the CD cover I designed got printed, and Locust Street Taxi sent me a copy of the CD! Check it out!
I'm very proud. I haven't listened to the CD yet. Hopefully it'll be good and I won't be embarrassed to have my name and artwork associated with the album. So, today Carrie walked to work, but was only there for about an hour before I got coffee and picked her up. I drove her up to the Lareau household, and they all piled in the big SUV and went up to Ferndale to see the Lareaus' new pug puppy. They get to take it home next week. Carrie said it was very cute.
While she was way up north (where we'll be passing through tomorrow, in fact), I went out and bought some Poul Anderson books at Half-Priced Books. I've always wanted to see what Poul was all about. <nerd>He started writing in the so-called Golden Age of Science Fiction, along with Heinlein, Asimov, and Clarke, and had a tremendously prolific career up until his death in 2001 (not a Space Odyssey).</nerd>
I organized our CDs so that it would be easy to choose which ones to take with. Then around 6:00 I went and picked Carrie up from the Lareau house and cooked mandarin chicken for din-dins. Nyki stopped by so we could give her the rundown on the house, 'cause she's going to be staying here while we're gone. I went and filled the gas tank, and then after that it was all packing and cleaning. That's where we are now.
Thee ya later, thuckerth!
