Anyway, I went for a walk/jog in the morning, but I only got two blocks before this adorable kitten ran out onto the sidewalk to meet me. It kept on following me around, prancing happily and grabbing onto trees with its forearms. Very cute! I couldn't shake it, so I didn't want to cross any major streets for fear of cars. So instead I walked back home. It followed me. Into the house.
Fantastico was rather upset about that.
So I walked back to the place where I first saw it, and maneauvered so that a car was between it and me. Then I took off running and rounded the corner of the block. I'm reasonably certain it didn't see where I went. I took a different route back so as not to have it latch onto me again.
Don't get me wrong; I loved hanging out with it! It was too cute! But I feared for its safety, so I had to ditch it. It reminded me of the end of the first Spider-Man movie.
Ummm... yeah. I ate half of the remaining casserole for brunch, and Carrie ate the other half when she came home for lunch.
For dinner we did something unusual. Carrie made a whole bunch of chicken salad, plus a regular salad, and we packed all that up with some crackers and grapes and put it all in a picnic basket. We took it down to the Bead Factory and had a picnic with Laura in the party room. She was very excited, and the food was really good. We don't get to see Laura nearly as much as we used to now that she's back in school and only working when Carrie isn't.
I watched the 2nd episode of Heroes after we got back home. I've decided that I'll add that show to the very short list of primetime shows that I'll actually try to watch. Let's see:
- Monday:
- Heroes
- Tuesday:
- Veronica Mars
- Wednesday:
- Mythbusters
- Thursday:
- Friday:
- Numb3rs
