Portland Shopping (Sans Me) 

Yesterday (Sunday) there was no practice because basically I was the only person who would have been able to make the whole thing anyway.

Yesterday was also Carrie's annual Portland shopping day, where she and at least one other Bead Babe go down to the cute shopping area in Portland and shop around. This year Melissa and Jen went with her, and they were supposed to meet up with Gretchen and Nicole down there (though they only ended up meeting up with Gretchen; Nicole's cell phone died and she was unable to find Carrie & crew).

I did some cleaning, and I managed to play that Toribash game in such a way that I tore my opponent in half using my crotch. I couldn't for the life of me re-create the circumstances (though I figured it out just this morning).

In the afternoon Geoffs came over and we hung out and watched cheap sci-fi movies, like Route 666 (which is actually very enjoyable, mostly because of the chemistry between all the main players).

After Geoffs left I made chocolate chip pumpkin cookies. They're really good, but the pumpkin makes them have a very spongy consistency, almost more like cake than cookies.

Carrie finally came home around 8:00 in the PM, and she brought with her some Burgerville burgers (which is good, because I'd forgotten to eat dinner what with making the cookies and all). There was a marathon of Heroes on, so I got to see the one-half of an episode that I'd missed a couple of weeks ago.
