That is Not Allowed—That is in the Rules, That is Not Allowed

Okay, so yesterday (Tuesday) morning Carrie & I were getting ready as usual. It was a cold day, so I went out to warm up the car a few minutes before Carrie came out. When she got in the car with me she told me that when I went to Fred Meyer to deposit my paycheck I should pick up some carpet cleaner, because right when she was about to leave the house she picked up a bottle of Gatorade and (due to her not having correctly screwed on the cap) dropped it all over the floor.

See, Carrie has this strange inability to correctly screw caps on bottles of things. Frequently I'll come across bottles whose caps are slightly askew. It's strange to me that she doesn't notice, but oh well.

So after I went for my morning walk I drove to Fred Meyer and deposited my check in the bonk, and then bought a big canister of carpet cleaner. I didn't use it right away because when Carrie had spilled the Gatorade she'd panicked a little and dumped a bottel of water on top of the spill, hoping to dilute it some. So I put my space-heater next to the moist carpet to dry it out and tested the carpet cleaner elswhere (it works even better than the last canister I bought).

Anyway, there was a scary moment later in the morning. I went into the laundry room to clean Fantastico's litter. As I'm bending down, pooper-scooper thing in hand, I notice out of the corner of my eye that a cat is outside on the back deck and walking towards the glass door. "Hmm..." I thought. "I wonder which outdoor cat friend that is?"

I looked up. It was Fantastico. I leapt to my feet and thew open the door, and she walked into the house like nothing strange was going on. Upon closer inspection I noticed that she'd managed to dislodge a corner of the screen on the upper half of the door, and had apparently just jumped outside through that. I fixed the screen as best I could and then sat Fantastico down to have a talk with her about how it was not okay to go outside without supervision. I don't think she was really listening to me, though.

The rest of the day was much less eventful. Carrie had a split-shift, and we ate a whole mess of the leftover spaghetti for lunch. But there's still a tonne of it left. She went down and put another jewelry piece at Sonya's then took a nap while I worked. I made pizzas for din-dins and then took her to the store so she could teach her class.

In the evening I watched the new episode of Veronica Mars. I've decided that I don't like the new introduction. The mellower remix of the Dandy Warhol's song plus the sepia-toned, dissolving, posed still shots reminds me way too much of Law & Order's introduction. It just seems fake to me. I don't like it.

The episode was very good, though.
