Why do I need to get off work early?
• So Carrie can pick me up and we can go to Anacortes, get on a ferry, and go visit Leia in Friday Harbor! We're very excited!
But that's today. Yesterday (Thursday) was another weirdly-scheduled day for Carrie. She was still in bed when I left for work. I called her when I got to work to make sure she would actually wake up. She did, but she had migraine-type symptoms all day.
When I got home she was still at werk, so I went and dropped off a check at our insurance guy's office, then swung by and picked her up. She made a list for me and I went to Trader Joe's and grabbed most of what was on the list. I also grabbed a tri-tip wrap for me to eat in the car on the way home.
At 6:00 I went to the Babe Factory with Carrie and helped her to quickly set up her class. Then I came home and did a load of dishes and a load of laundry. I only got one load of laundry done because the dishwasher seemed to take forevah! I swear it ran for almost two full hours.
All I had for din-dins was a yogurt, so I was plenny hungry by the time Carrie called to pick me up after her class. She was feeling a little better than she had been all day, so to celebrate we ate some horribly unhealthy drive-through food from Taco Bell. That's the danger of having a Taco Bell on the way home.
I didn't get to sleep until almost 1:30, which is kinda bad because I woke up at 5:45 today. That ain't much sleep to go on. But I'll sleep in the car on the way up to Anacortes using my superhero ability, Fall Asleep in Any Moving Vehicle.
